Samba de Gafieira is a partner dance performed to various Brazilian samba rhythms. Unlike street and club variations of samba, Gafieira evolved as a ballroom dance (Dança de Salão, meaning “Salon Dance”). Gafieira is usually a couple dance, but it’s not uncommon to add solo variations and steps from Samba no Pé. 

This class focuses on the fundamentals of Samva de Gafieira and is open to all dancers of all levels. No partner is required to participate.
