We’re excited to introduce a new concept at World Dance Academy!
Groove Sessions is series of workshops with different teachers and dance styles, all connected by one main focus: GROOVE.
What do we mean by groove?
We mean the underlying rhythmic feeling and continuous body movement that defines a dance and connects you directly to the music and culture.
With Groove Sessions, we want to go back to the essence of dance and explore how groove looks, feels and moves across different styles.
In each session, different teachers will share their unique perspective and flavor, guiding you through drills, foundational movements, steps, variations, freestyle, musicality, exercises, cultural context and other ways of exploring movement rooted in their dance style.
It's not about learning choreography, but understanding, feeling and exploring dance from the inside out.
All levels are welcome!
