Afro Fusion with Nadine is for those looking to work on the techniques behind the fundamental steps from different Afro styles. Each month is based on a style from the African continent. Through a blend of history, step explanations, and choreography, you’ll gain a deep understanding of the rhythms coming from the continent.
This Afro Basic class is open to dancers of all levels, including beginners. We will focus on foundation, basics, and we will be jaming to Afrobeats music. No prior experience is necessary, and no choreography in this class; the emphasis is on having fun while picking up Afro basics moves across various music genres like Afrobeats, Amapiano, Ndombolo, Afrohouse, and more. Come as you are and join us in learning some Afro basics!
This Coupé DéCalé class is for those who want to deep into Coupé Décalé. As a dance style is a mix of Congolese rumba, hip-hop and Caribbean music. The style first emerged in the early 2000s among various Ivorian communities in Paris and was a break with the old traditions and “proper” ways of dancing. The style can be seen as a kind of youth rebellion, as well as a creative outlet for the Ivorian dispora in Europe.
In this Afro Choreo class, we focus on routines and choreography based on Colosal Titan’s Afro Basic class. To join the Afro Choreo class, we recommend you to also take the Afro Basic class or have some experience with African dance or other dance styles. We will build on the foundational steps from the Afro Basic class to create routines and choreography. You’ll also have the opportunity to develop your freestyle or small combos. Each month features two new choreographies.
Ndombolo is a style from the Democratic Republic of Congo, characterized by hip and gesture movements. This class is suitable for all levels and emphasizes foundational steps and combos while you'll get to explore and learn about Congolese culture and Sebene music.

Ponija's Afro Fusion class is designed for those with some prior dance experience. This class will challenge you with more complex Afro moves and choreography, while still providing a strong foundation in basic Afro steps. This is a great opportunity to improve your dance skills and express yourself through dance.
In Switch’s Afro Ghanian Style class, the focus is on Ghanaian steps, vibe, and groove. The Azonto dance, which originated from "Apaa"—meaning "to work”—was initially used to show the profession of an individual. Over time, Azonto has evolved to express more complex messages and is are very communicative dance. Join Switch every Wednesday to experience and learn the dynamic Ghanaian dance style in his Afro class.
Afro House, originating from Angola, is a dance and music genre known for its energetic movements, including Njinga, and fast footwork. This class welcomes all levels and focuses on foundational footwork and basic steps. Colosal will provide combos to help you develop your footwork and choreography, using music from Angola, Cape Verde, and Portugal. One new choreography is introduced each month.
Alky’s West African Dance class is a traditional dance class from Guinea is accompanied by live djembe and doundount drums. His class consist of a warm-up, diagonal movement patterns across the floor and relaxation. In this class you’ll focus on more complex steps and choreographies. You’ll get the opportunity to develop and be guided in your personal solo style.
